Guidance for Your Newborn Session

I am located at 23 GLENFIELD AVE, MELTON WEST.

The studio is a converted garage. When you arrive, please park in the driveway. The glass doors where the garage door would have been are the entrance, so come right in! I will be waiting for you.

If you are running late, please send me a message on 0414519085 to let me know, as I may have another session booked after yours. Please try your best to arrive on time.

What to Bring?

Please bring your baby bag with all your baby’s necessities. If you are bottle-feeding, please bring additional bottles.

During the session, we feed on demand. At times, your baby may need to be settled into a pose, and extra bottles or even a dummy can be a great way to help settle them. I strongly recommend bringing a dummy to the session, even if you do not usually use one.

At times, this can be a lifesaver!

If you have additional children coming along, please make sure you bring some entertainment and snacks.

I always do the family and sibling photos first, if the toddler allows us to! This way, if Dad or another family member would like to head off with the children once they have finished their photos, that is always an option.

What to Wear

I suggest choosing a few colours and textures to tie everyone’s outfits together.

Florals, textured knits, creams, greys, whites, soft colours, and natural tones such as sage, mustard, and burnt orange are all fantastic for photos.

I completely understand that many people love black because it is slimming; however, I would suggest avoiding it in the top half of your outfit, as it can appear quite harsh in these soft images.

To keep your images timeless, try to avoid logos, writing, or large prints, as these can date your images and take the focus away from you and your connections.

During Your Session

Sessions generally take 2–3 hours, including feeding, settling, and posing the baby.

I will always try my best to capture the poses you see on my social media and any requested poses. However, I can only work with what your baby is comfortable with.

So, your little one will run the show!

I provide all outfits and props for the baby. These are set up before your arrival. If you would like to adjust anything when you arrive, please just let me know, as I want everything to be perfect for you and reflect what you have envisioned.

Your balance is due on the day of the session.

Images will be provided within 1–2 weeks. This timeframe may be subject to change depending on my editing workload, but I will endeavour to get your images to you as soon as possible, as I know you are excited to receive them! I will always provide you with a timeline on the day to confirm when you can expect your images.

Your photos will be provided via an online gallery link, which you can use to download and share them with family and friends.
